The International Student Union of Xi’an Jiaotong University is an organization which is formed bypassionate, talented, and conscientious international students from different countries and cultural backgrounds and officially guided bySchool of International Education. Witha mission of “Serving University, School, and Students”, a diversified of activities to meet the personalized development needs of international students in terms of life, learning, and sports will be scheduled.An enriched campus life, a multicultural atmosphere of diligent learning, mutual assistance, and innovativegrowth, wholeheartedly serving students and comprehensivequality of international students will be enhanced.

The International Student Union has four departments, namely Administrative Organization Department, Academic Development Department, Culture and Sports Department, and Practice and Service Department.

The Administrative Organization Department is the "administrator of ISU", the center for the normal operation of the internal work of the union, and also a bridge connecting the president and various departments. In the future, it will be responsible for the writing of rules and regulations of ISU, the recruitment and replacement of the ISU annual recruitment and election meetings, the assessment and evaluation of departments and members, as well as the publicity work.

The Academic Development Department is mainly responsible for organizing academic salons, learning forums, job sharing and other activities. It will assist in organizing expert presentations on " Reading China (Seminars)", lectures on university academic and career planning, and a series of international student academic counseling activities.

The Cultureand Sports Department plans to assist in holding activities such as the Eighth International Cultural Festival of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Traditional Chinese Culture Workshop, the XJTU Cultural Bridge, and the UniversitySports Meeting, aiming to further enrich the life of international students beside study and research.

The Practice and Service Department will assist in the registration of new students and the departure of graduates, as well as a series of activities such as "Reading China (Social Practice Activities)" and "International Student Enrollment Education".

Here are the details of our recruitment process:

I. Target Groups: All the international students on campus

II. Total number of new recruits: 27 members

III. Requirements for New Recruits

(A) A friendly disposition towards China and a strong moral character.

(B) Solid academic performance with the ability to manage academic responsibilities effectively.

(C) Adherence to the rules and regulations of the International Student Union.

(D) Familiarity with the department of interest and a willingness to actively engage in its activities and contribute to its growth.

(E) Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills.

(F) A positive and proactive attitude, resilience, a helpful nature, a strong sense of responsibility, and a willingness to take on challenges.

(G) Proficiency in both Chinese and English is advantageous. Candidates with artistic talents, proficiency in Word, Excel, and PPT, as well as skills in photography, video editing, and poster design, will be given priority consideration.

Interview notifications will be sent to candidates through WeChat groups and email. The date and time will be communicated separately.
