As requested byImplementingRules ofExtra-Curricular 8Credits for Undergraduate International Students of Xi'an Jiaotong University, international undergraduate students are allowed to graduate only after they have completed extra-curricular 8 credits. Social practice isa critical componentof the extra-curricular 8 credits. The relevant matters of social practice activities in 2024wintervacation are notified as follows,
I. Participants
International undergraduate studentswhodid not finish the Social Practice.
II.Contents
1. Social research practice. Students can choose social hottopics, carry out extensive and in-depth research, and write research reports. You can also combine theory with practice and actively transform research results to form effective suggestions according to knowledge you have learned.
2. Volunteer service practice. Students can carry out volunteer service according to the actual situation in yourresidences, such as community volunteer, and traffic facilitator, help the poor and weak groupsandvolunteer education, etc.
3. Internship practice. Students can go to the local government or civil affairs departments and enterprises and institutions related to your major to carry out internshipandwrite internship reports, research reports, proposals, etc.
4.Enrollment promotions.Students can promote XJTU International Students admission information and policies, share XJTU campus culture and personal study experience, contact the local schools and institutions from home country to expand the source of students, etc.
The themes and contents above are foryourreferences andstudents can also choose one or several of them for social practice. You can also carry outanothertype of social practice according to the specific situation and characteristics of yourresidences.
III. Relevant Requirements
1. Duration: Jan 15 to Feb 25, 2024.
2. Students can choose to carry out social practice both in and out of China as individuals or as a team.
3. Please submit a social practice report (more than 2000 words) to jinfeifei@xjtu.edu.cn before Feb 29, 2024, name the email subject with your student number. Both pictures and texts are required. Both English and Chinese will be accepted.
4. Students who complete social practice and submit reports as required will get 2 credits of extra-curricular 8 credits afterreview. School of International Education will select excellent social practice reports forawards.
5. During practice, pleaseenhanceyoursafety awareness.Be aware oftraffic, personal,propertyandcommunication safety.
