In an effort to foster a profound comprehension of China among our international students,the university is organizing the 2025 Summer Social Practice Program. The initiative aims to guide and empower you to personally immerse yourselves in China through hands-on social practices, including national condition observation, community service, and internships. By integrating the knowledge gained from theoretical studies with practical experiences, we encourage you to effectively narrate China's stories, amplify its voice, and project an image of China that is credible, endearing, and worthy of respect.

1.Theoretical Popularization and Outreach Team
Embark on a journey into communities, middle schools (both within China and in your home countries), meticulously crafting and executing educational initiatives that are brimming with substance, grounded in reality, captivating in their appeal, and imbued with the distinctive ethos of XJTU. Vibrantly recount the tales of XJTU and exhibit its allure.Facilitate the establishment of partnerships between overseas middle schools and our university to jointly develop theInternational Student Source Base Cooperation Projects.
2. Development Achievement Observation Team
Utilize China's vast landscape as your classroom, delving into national conditions, social dynamics, and conducting in-depth investigations, research, learning experiences, and volunteer services to grasp a profound understanding of China's social realities and people's livelihoods. Expand your research scope on social hotspots and challenges, exploring from diverse angles, and compile special investigation reports or theses.
3. Historical and Cultural Research and Study Team
Explore the monumental achievements of the Chinese people's century-long struggle, immerse yourself in the charm and essence of traditional Chinese culture, and engage in multifaceted historical and cultural research and study experiences by tapping into local red cultural resources and cultural heritage.
4. Rural Revitalization Practice Team
Observe exemplary villages and their development narratives within China's poverty alleviation and rural revitalization initiatives. Conduct online public welfare tutoring sessions via internet platforms to promote and disseminate local characteristics and rural cultures.
5. Human Community with a Shared Future Practice Team
President Xi Jinping has put forward the vision of building a human community with a shared future. China's progress not only contributes to global well-being but also hinges on international collaboration. Cultural exchanges and mutual learning stand as pivotal forces propelling the advancement of human civilization and fostering world peace and development. Gain a profound understanding of how China champions inter-civilizational dialogues and exchanges, aiming to co-construct a vibrant and harmonious garden of world civilizations
IV. Practice Requirements
1.This program requires team participation, with each team consisting of 5 to 10 members. Cross-disciplinary, cross-field, and cross-grade team formation is encouraged. Each team shall designate a team leader andanadvisor. The advise can be your instructor or profess and each advisor can advise up to two teams.
2.Upon completion of the program, each team shall submit a 2000-word illustrated social practice report.
3.Each team shall fill out a Social Practice Team Safety Responsibility Agreement. During the practice, all team members shall abide by local laws and regulations, enhance safety awareness, take personal protective measures, and pay attention to traffic safety, personal and property safety, safety in interactions with local people, and other safety considerations.
V. Practice Schedule
1.Registration Phase (From nowto June 27th): Fill out the registration form and send it tosgl1709854878@163.com. Pleasecontact the advisor ahead and name the file as "Team Leader's Student ID + Social Practice 2025."
2.Implementation Phase (July 10th to September 1st): International students can choose to conduct their social practice activities within China or abroad.
3.Summary and Evaluation Phase (September 1st to November): The School of International Education will collaborate with the Youth League Committee of the university to evaluate and summarize the practice teams' work and recognize outstanding achievements.
