“九月九日眺山川，归心归望积风烟。”在农历金秋九月，我们迎来了一年一度的重阳佳节。作为中国民间重要的传统节日，在重阳节这一天，人们登高祈福、赏秋赏菊、祭祖敬老、遥相祝福。为增强国际学生对这一节日的理解，国际教育学院特举办重阳节主题讲座和重阳节祝福征集活动，帮助他们更好地读懂中国传统节日文化。
10月9日下午，学院邀请汉语教师刘露蔓为国际学生举办“重阳节”为主题的专题讲座。从重阳节的历史渊源、神话传说到各地不同的民俗活动、特色美食，从名人诗赋、重阳谚语到尊老爱老、感恩先祖，刘露蔓老师在生动详实的讲述中巧妙穿插视频、音频等多媒体资源，激发了国际学生对重阳佳节的浓厚兴趣。作为汉语教师，刘露蔓老师还重点讲授了重阳节相关的汉语词汇，扩大国际学生词汇量的同时，也增强了同学们的汉语学习意识。
重阳前夕，学院面向全校留学生开展“遥寄祝福”活动。有感于重阳节日的敬老内涵，远在异国他乡求学的国际学子也深深眷恋着自己的家人。他们拿起手机，和亲人视频，述说着彼此的思念和祝福。
