Program Overview

The 2026 XJTU Silk Road Summer Camp: Next-Gen AI Innovation is a flagship international program hosted by Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU), a top-tier Chinese university renowned for its legacy in engineering, innovation, and the historic Westward Relocation. Rooted in the ancient capital of Xi’an—the starting point of the Silk Road—this program blends cutting-edge artificial intelligence education, immersive cultural exploration, and industry engagement to empower global students with a deep understanding of China’s AI revolution and cross-cultural collaboration.

Designed for high school, international undergraduate and graduate students, the camp offers a unique mix of academic lectures, hands-on technical workshops, enterprise visits, and traditional Chinese cultural experiences. Participants will not only gain insights into China’s AI innovation ecosystem but also explore the intersection of technology and the Silk Road’s spirit of exchange and progress.

Program Structure

- Duration: 8 days (5–12 July 2026)

- Venue: Xingqing Campus or iHarbour Campus, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China

- Format: Fully on-site, with a balanced schedule of academic sessions, cultural activities, and industry visits

Reward

Students who successfully complete the program will receive a Certificate issued by SIE XJTU and herewith have easy access to the future program or courses offered by XJTU.

3. Industry & Academic Exposure

A corporate visit to GEELY, one of China’s leading automotive and tech enterprises, to explore how AI is transforming the manufacturing and mobility sectors. The program also includes a dedicated “Study at XJTU” session to introduce international students to opportunities at XJTU.

4. Comprehensive Support for International Students

The program includes airport pickup, drop-off, on-campus accommodation, daily meals, and beginner-friendly Chinese language courses to help participants adapt to life in China.

Program Fees & Inclusions

Tuition Fee: 5500 RMB

Inclusions: Airport pickup/drop-off, on-campus dormitory accommodation, daily meals, all scheduled lectures and activities, entrance fees for listed cultural sites, and local transportation for scheduled visits.

How to Apply

Applicants must hold a valid ordinary foreign passport, be aged 13–45, and be in good health. Application and tuition payment must be completed by 25 June 2026.

1. Log in to the online application system of School of International Education of XJTU (http://isso.xjtu.edu.cn/recruit/login) and create your own account.

2. Select“Visiting/Summer/Winner Camp”, complete the online application form, and upload all the required documents as instructed by the system.

3. Confirm that the application is complete and await notification of the next steps.
