The 1st International Students’ Resume Competition is Launched

With the increasing competition in the job market, an excellent RESUME is crucial for fresh graduates. In order to help international students make good preparation for career planning and job hunting, the School of International Education conducts the 1st International Students’ Resume Competition, with the purpose to help them improve their ability of resume writing and enhance their competitiveness in employment.

I. Objectives of the Competition

1. Help international students to master the skills of resume writing and improve their resumes’ quality;

2. Enhance international students’ employment awareness and career planning ability;

3. Build a bridge between international students and enterprises as well as promote cooperation between school and enterprises.

II. Participants

All international students, especially the current years’ graduates.

III. Prizes

The competition will set up a number of first prize, second prize, third prize and excellence awards. Apart from a certificate and an award, winners will also have opportunities to be recommended to employers.

IV. Tournament Arrangement

1. Resume Submission Period: 16 May 2024 to 31 May 2024;

2. Requirements on Resume: either in Chinese or English, in the form of Word, PPT or PDF;

3. How to Submit: Resume should be named as "Student Number + Passport Name + Resume Competition" and then be sent tosie-iso@xjtu.edu.cnas an attachment.

V. Evaluation

1. Evaluation Criteria: Authenticity, Completeness and Innovation etc.;

2. Expert Evaluation: The school of International Education will organize an expert committee to review and evaluate all the resumes received;

3. Final Results: The winners will be determined according to the expert committee’s evaluation.

VI. Notice

1. The content of the resume is original, not fictitious and not exaggerated;

2. Participants must submit their resumes on time, and late submission will not be accepted.
