Notice on the 17th “Xianjiao Cultural Bridge” Activity

In order to actively respond to the “the Belt and Road” initiative, the 17th “Xianjiao Cultural Bridge” activity will enter the museum of Xi’an Jiaotong University to help the exhibition of “One World - the Silk Road stretches, diversified blend” organized by the museum volunteer team. The exhibition aims to showcase the traditional costumes, handicrafts, and other cultural elements of countries along the Silk Road, allowing visitors to personally experience the unique charm of different cultures along the Silk Road. They realize that only by showcasing the beauty of each country can the world be more harmonious and civilized, promoting mutual recognition, understanding, and respect among different regions and ethnic groups.

1. Event time and location

July 10th (tentative), Xi’an Jiaotong University Museum

2. Participants

(1) 30 international students.

(2) International students from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Ukraine, Türkiye, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Egypt, and students from other countries can also participate.

(3) Participants are required to provide clothing or handicrafts with their own ethnic characteristics in September 2024 for the “One World - Silk Road Extension, Multidimensional Integration” exhibition. Participants should be honest and responsible to ensure that the exhibits are displayed on time.

3. Activity content

(1) Before the event, scanning the QR code and uploading can provide pictures and introductions of the exhibits, accompanied by as detailed an introduction as possible.

(2) Students who have been selected for exhibits will be invited to participate in the “Cultural Bridge Activity”, explore the exhibits in the museum collection, and exchange national treasures.

4. Exhibition requirements

(1) Clothing or handicrafts with ethnic characteristics (which can be those already displayed at international cultural festivals);

(2) When next semester starts in September, please submit the relevant exhibits to the museum. After the exhibition ends around October, the museum will contact you to return the exhibits.

(3) Ensure that the exhibits can be exhibited on time.

5. Registration method

(1) Scan the QR code and upload exhibition product images and introductions before 18:00 on June 20, 2024, with as much detailed information as possible.

(2) Students who have been selected for exhibits will be invited to participate in the Cultural Bridge event. Students who participate in the activity and successfully provide exhibits will receive creative products from the museum. This event can be stamped.
