To showcase the charm of the campus, foster cultural exchange, and capture vivid moments of international students' lives at Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU), the School of International Education is organizing the"XJTU Impressions" Campus Short Video Contest. Submissions are welcome under the following guidelines:
I. Contest Themes
1.Academic Excellence
a)Learning and research
Examples: All-English classroom debates, Chinese academic presentations, Sino-foreign student collaboration in experiments, or recorded of Instructors Share China with You.
2.Cultural Exploration
a)Chinese culture
Examples: Traditional Chinese festivals, Chinese cultural workshops, etc.
b)Cross-cultural exchanges
Examples: International Cultural Festival, International Students’ Country Exhibition, Cultural Bridge of XJTU, Language Corner, etc.
c)Social practice
Examples: Enterprise visits, educational volunteer programs, Discovering and exploring China activities, etc.
3.Campus Life
a)Campus survival challenges
Examples: International students navigating the "Mobile XJTU" APP.
b)Campus activities
Examples: Student organizations (e.g., International Student Union, Dance Troupes, Loong Dance team), volunteer services, sports competitions, night running on Plane Tree Avenue.
c)A day in my life of XJTU
Examples: A self-narrated day of an international student.
Note: These examples are illustrative; creativity beyond these themes is encouraged.
II. Participants
All enrolled international students at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
III. Submission Requirements
1.Format: MP4/MOV files with a minimum resolution of 1920×1080 and an aspect ratio of 16:9.
2.Duration: 3–5 minutes.
3.Language: Chinese or English only.
4.Technical Standards:
a)Clear, steady footage with noise-free audio.
b)No subtitles; a separate subtitle script must be provided.
IV. Awards
1.Prizes:
a)First Prize: 500 RMB worth of gifts+ certificate.
b)Second Prize: 300 RMB worth of gifts + certificate.
c)Third Prize: 100 RMB worth of gifts + certificate.
2.All qualified entrants will receive astamp of participationand a commemorative gift.
3.Outstanding entries will be featured on the School of International Education’s official WeChat account.
