Dear International Students,
To enrich cultural life on campus and provide a space for cross-cultural exchange, the Global Scholar Reading Lounge, located on the 4th floor (west side) of the North Building at Yanta Campus, will officially open on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
I. Opening Hours
· Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
· Holiday hours will be announced separately (updates will be posted at the entrance of the lounge)
II. Facilities and Services
· Book Lending:Offers Chinese and English academic books, China-themed literature, professional reference books, and more.
· Study Space:Equipped with silent-study furniture, power outlets, air conditioning, and personal lockers.
· Cultural Corner: Occasional events for cultural exchange and student-led international activities
III. Borrowing Guidelines
· Present a valid student ID to borrow books. (up to 2 books at a time, for 31 days; one renewal allowed)
· Please go to the service desk to fill out the Borrowing Log (available in both Chinese and English).
· Late returns will result in a temporary borrowing suspension; lost books must be reimbursed at the original price
IV. Support Services
· On-duty student assistants are available for support
· Basic consultation available in both Chinese and English
· Feedback welcome — scan the QR code inside the lounge to submit suggestions
V. Reminders
· No reservation required for study seating — first come, first served
· Please keep the environment quiet, set phones to silent, and enjoy food or drinks only in designated outdoor areas
