Notice on Winter Vacation Arrangements for 2026

To All International Students:

According to the academic calendar and the university’s work arrangements, the schedule for the 2026 winter vacation and registration is hereby notified as follows:

I. Vacation and Semester Start Dates

1. Winter Vacation Period:January 19 to March 1, 2026.

2. School of International Education Registration Dates & Arrangements:

iHarbour Campus:February 28, 9:00-12:00, Office 1-2096.

Xingqing Campus:February 28, 14:00-17:00, A911 office, Foreign Languages Building.

Yanta Campus:February 28, 9:00-12:00, 14:00-17:00, International Student Office, Residential Area.

3. Semester Start Date:Formal classes begin on Monday, March 2.

II. Registration for the New Semester

Students must pay all due fees (including tuition and accommodation fees) and purchase the required insurancebeforethe registration date. Registration procedures must be completed at School of International Education and the respective major school within the designated period. Students unable to register on time must submit a written request for leave to both School of International Education and their major school. Registration may be postponed only upon approval. Absence without leave or absence for over two weeks after an unapproved leave request will be treated as voluntary withdrawal from the university.

III. Vacation Reminders

1. All students must abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and university rules. Violations of Chinese law resulting in penalties from public security or judicial authorities may lead to disciplinary actions ranging from serious warning to expulsion, depending on the severity. Particular attention should be paid to avoiding illegal activities such as unauthorized employment, overstaying residence permits, causing disturbances due to alcohol, or disturbing neighbors both on and off campus.

2. Accommodation Safety:

(1) Strictly adhere to dormitory rules. Smoking, cooking, or using high-power electrical appliances in dorm rooms is strictly prohibited. Do not illegally connect power sources, and ensure electrical safety.

(2) When leaving the dormitory, ensure all electrical appliances are turned off to prevent fire hazards.

(3) In case of fire, immediately cut off the power supply and evacuate the dormitory promptly along the direction indicated by exit signs. Do not crowd.

3. Students planning to leave Xi’an must inform their instructorsin advanceand obtain permission. Students planning to leave China or return from abroad must know and comply with the entry policies, laws, and regulations of the destination country. Ensure personal safety during travel and return to campus on time.

4. When using public transport or cycling, strictly obey traffic rules: do not jaywalk, do not run red lights, do not exceed speed limits. Remain vigilant of suspicious individuals or vehicles while traveling.

5. When visiting tourist sites, follow site regulations, obey management instructions, and be cautious to prevent drowning incidents.

6. Protect personal information. Do not readily trust information from strangers and guard against online scams.

7. For any issues, please contact your counselor promptly. The college has staff on 24-hour duty during the vacation. In case of emergencies, please contact the duty teacher.
