To All International Students:
In accordance with the University academic calendar and relevant work arrangements, the schedule for the 2026 summer vacation and registration for the new semester is hereby announced as follows.
I. Vacation and Beginning-of-Semester Schedule
(I) Summer Vacation
The summer vacation will run from August 3 to September 13, 2026.
(II) Registration Arrangements
1. Registration dates and arrangements for continuing students:
IHarbour Campus: September 12, 9:00–12:00 and 14:30–17:30, Office 1-2096.
Xingqing Campus: September 13, 9:00–12:00 and 14:30–17:30, Office 911, Foreign Languages Building.
Yanta Campus: September 12–13, 9:00–12:00 and 14:30–17:30, in the courtyard of the International Student Apartments in the residential area.
2. Registration dates for new students:
New students shall register from September 10 to September 11.
(III) Commencement of Classes
Undergraduate and graduate classes at all campuses will begin on September 14.
II. Registration for the New Semester
Students must pay tuition, accommodation fees, and other required fees before the registration date, and complete registration procedures with both the School of International Education and their academic school within the period specified by the University. Students who are unable to register on time must submit a written request for leave to both the School of International Education and their academic school. Upon approval, registration may be postponed. Students who fail to request leave, or whose leave request is not approved and who remain unregistered for more than two weeks, will be treated as having withdrawn from the University.
III. Important Reminders for the Vacation
1. All students must strictly comply with the laws and regulations of China and the rules and regulations of the University. Students who are penalized by public security or judicial authorities for violating Chinese laws and regulations will, depending on the seriousness of the case, be subject to disciplinary action ranging from a serious warning to dismissal from the University. In particular, students must avoid illegal employment, overstaying an expired residence permit, alcohol-related disturbances, and conduct that disturbs others in on-campus or off-campus accommodation.
2. Accommodation safety
a. Strictly observe dormitory regulations. Smoking, cooking, and the use of high-power electrical appliances in dormitories are prohibited. Do not make unauthorized electrical connections, and ensure safe use of electricity.
b. When leaving the dormitory, make sure that all electrical appliances have been switched off to prevent fire hazards.
c. In the event of a fire, immediately cut off the power supply if it is safe to do so, and leave the dormitory as quickly as possible by following the illuminated exit signs. Do not crowd or push.
3. Students who plan to leave Xi'an must report their travel plans to their counselor in advance before leaving the city. Students who plan to travel abroad or return to China from overseas should familiarize themselves in advance with and comply with the entry policies, laws, and regulations of the destination country or region. Please pay close attention to personal safety while away and return to the University on time.
4. When using public transportation or riding a bicycle, strictly observe traffic laws and regulations. Do not cross roads arbitrarily, run red lights, or exceed speed limits. Remain alert to suspicious persons and vehicles around you while traveling.
5. When visiting tourist attractions, comply with the regulations of the scenic area, follow management instructions, and take precautions against drowning.
6. Protect your personal information, do not readily trust messages from strangers, and stay alert to online fraud.
7. If you encounter any problems, please contact your counselor promptly. The School arranges staff members to be on duty 24 hours a day. In case of an emergency, please contact the staff member on duty.
