Recently, the School of International Education optimized and integrated the functions of its departments, and the International Student Education and Management Office Affairs Center is officially launched, which aims to further improve the efficiency of cross-campus international student management and service. The Affairs Center is mainly responsible for international students' entry and exit affairs, accommodation affairs, off-campus work-study and internship, scholarship annual review, reward and punishment processing, educational administration, data management and information construction, etc.

Guidance on Residence Permit Application by

the International Student Education and Management Office Affairs Center

Temporary accommodation registration

Students with X1 visa are required to register for the temporary accommodation within 24 hours after their entry in China. Students checking in the dormitory on campus shall register at the reception of the dorm building, while the others who live out of the campus are supposed to register at the at the local police station.

On-campus temporary accommodation registration location and working hours:

Residence permit application

Students should apply for residence permit application one week ahead of the expiration of his/her visa. Following documents are expected to be prepared by the students themselves:

1) JW201/JW202 form (First page of Visa Application Form for study in china);

2) Copy of passport photo page;

3) Copy of visa page (X1\X2\ residence permit \ stay permit);

4) Copy of the page with the stamp of the last entry into China

5) Physical examination report

6) Insurance purchase proof in PDF

7) Copy ofregistration form of temporary residence.

8) Students whose vis expires before obtaining their health examination report shall apply for a short-term stay permit. They shall apply for residence permit as soon as they receive their health examination report.

Reminder on Second Registration of Temporary Accommodation Registration:

According to the Implementation Rules of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of the Exit and Entry of Foreigners, temporary accommodation registration must be completed at the local police station within 24 hours after entering China. If you are staying on campus, the school will assist you in completing this registration. Please make a second registration within 24 hours of obtaining your residence permit. If accommodation registration is not processed in violation of regulations, the public security organs will impose a warning or a fine of less than 2000 yuan in accordance with the law.
