Notice on Winter Social Practice for International Undergraduate Students

In accordance with the Implementing Rules for the Extra-Curricular 8Credit Requirement for International Undergraduate Students at Xi'an Jiaotong University, international undergraduate students must successfully complete 8 extra-curricular credits to qualify for graduation, with social practice serving as a vital component of these credits. Below are the details regarding social practice activities for the 2026wintervacation.

I. Participants

All international students.

II. Contents

1.Perceiving China:Students may conduct thematic research on Chinese history, culture, and modern scientific, technological, and social progress (e.g., traditional culture, rural revitalization, corporate development).

2.Social Research:Students may investigate pressing social issues and submit research reports.

3.Voluntary Service:Students can arrange voluntary services like community work, traffic aid, helping the vulnerable, or rural teaching.

4.WorkplaceInternship:Students may undertake internships at relevant organizations and submit internship reports afterward.

5.International Student Base Program:Students cancontact overseashigh schools to promote and facilitate the signing of agreements for our university’s International Student Base Program.

6.Special Program:Students are invited to participate in the Singing Program themed "Shine for the World, The School Anthem Resounds Across the Globe," held in celebration of the 130th anniversary. Please note that participants are required to submit their recorded works to mail to:liushanshan@xjtu.edu.cnif they take part in this porgram.

The above are recommended themes for social practice. Students may select one or more options or design localized projects.

III. Relevant Requirements

1. Duration:Jan. 24toMar. 1st2026.

2. Students may conductit in or out of China, individually or in teams.

3. Please submitthereport (no less than 2,000 words, Chinese or English,with illustrations) towinniejiaxuann@gmail.comby Mar. 1st 2026.Use student ID as the email subject. (Students participating in the International Student Base Program are exempt from submission.Forthesingingprogram, please submit to the designated email address.)

4.Students who complete social practice and submit reports as required will receive official stampsafter review. Additionally, the School of International Education will annually recognize outstanding reports with awards.

5.Ensure safety during practice.Take protective measures and prioritize traffic, personal/property, and public interaction safety.
